New JME feat Wiley

Bit of a different one from JME and im still making up my mind on this one. I do like it tho im just not sure how much. Anyway this is the new video for the new JME track called 'Sidetracked' feat Wiley. Wiley has previously put out a vocal of this but JMe filled it out and made a video. Actually Staple House (Scorchers Video Team) made the video. They are responsible for most of the latest grime vids.

JME is quickly becoming my favourite MC. I admire the way he has been such a prminent fiugure in the scene without having to talk a load of nonsense. Definatly someone who tells it how it is. Watch this video below for proof. Very inspirational.

New TONE AKA TBONE Tune On BBC

Tone aka Tbone had his newest tune 'Working class Feeling' played on BBC Suffolk last night. It on the link below at about 47.48. The presenter makes me laugh implying that working class is to be poor. They talk about Thetford a bit too so buzzing bout that. Anyway the tune is about making money and feeling guilt for it. Its a nice concept. The tune is big so have a listen.

Tone has been working hard in the studio and has got an album worth of bangers ready to go. I really do feel like Tone has got a sound that radio should eat up. I recon 2010 could be a massive year for him.

Also Truth feat Kashmere 'Do You Understand' gets played at about 36.20. Truth is a massive rapper and the track is large. Its taken form the forthcoming Rapsploitation Sessions compilation CD Three Years High And Rising. This is availible in the physical format from the next Rapsploitation Sessions. Details here:

Have a listen to 'Working Class Feeling' and 'Do you Understand' on the link below:

Grime Daily TV Launches Today

Today sees the launch of Grime Daily TV. Its a TV show dedicated to the website that is 'Grime Daily'. For those who dont know Grime Daily is a good resource for UK Grime/Rap videos. Its uploaded daily and is the first place to find the bangers. If you never been there here is the link www.grimedaily.com

The TV show launches tonight on Sky Channel 367 (FLAVA). I think this could be a massive look for the scene cos its going to give good exposure on mainstream TV to a scene that is still fairly underground (in regards to mainstream radio).

Here is the trailer:

Loving this tune

I know i posted this before but i had to re-post it cos im feeling it so much right now. The only thing that lets it down is the over use of the 'F' word. No need to keep swearing. But anyway this is a banger and i can see it doing well commercially seeing as its getting radio 1 play.

Chronicredeye - Ruffneck Intellect Vol 1

Chronicredeye have treated you to a lovely little CD here. Im gonna say Redeye has actually cos he is the man putting in the work. Reds has put together a pukka little CD here. Its a mixtape that features a load of artists that Reds is feeling and been associated with such as the Wolftown movement, Yaeo, chrome and the very special guests Hell Razah, Timbo King and Dezert Eez. When these Wu affiliates show up they aint doing it on a 'ill send a tune over for ya and you do as you please', they do it proper. Reds has done well here and managed to hook up proper exclusives here. The Dezert Eez tune is the best Dezert Eez tune i have ever heard and lucky for Reds it features as an exclusive on here. Trust me the CD is worth buying for this alone.

Me, Reds and Lyrical feature on a tune with Hell Razah and Timbo King which in my opinion bangs hard.

Another stand out track on the CD is Mood - Drugs, War and Crime. Its a proper little belter.

Reds also showcases the direction he is moving in with the duo 'Soldjasoulz'. It comprises of Reds and DPF. They got a couple tunes on here and are definatly gonna cause a stir in 2010. Some big things coming from them.

Anyway thats enough talking. Go cop the CD. You wont be dissapointed. Especially if your a hip hop head.

Interview I Done With Krystatic

Krystatic is an up comming rapper from Wolverhampton. If ya dont know about him yet then you will probably see his name cropping up in the enar future. Here is a little interview i did with him to give an insight into how things are going for him:

What’s your name and where you from?

I’m Krystatic and I’m from Wolverhampton

What releases have you had out to date?

I’ve had two underground mixtapes called the next big thing volume 1 and luxury life. I have recently released a new album called Stepping out the Box which is getting mailed out now by trickster.

What’s your favourite part of being a rapper/MC?

Being original, creative with my own ideas, being positive and using that positivity to create catchy hooks.

What do you think you bring to the table as an MC?

I think a unique voice with my own style and techniques which fans will love.

If you was not involved in music what do you think you would be doing?

I would be doing bricklaying that’s the fallback should in the unlikely event my music career does not take off.

Let’s talk about your current project. When’s it out? Can you tell who is involved?

My current project would be to promote my new album stepping out the box which will be out on itunes very soon, big shout outs to all the people involved on the album including artists from Tru Fam records, S-X and Marissa.

So what type of music do you listen to mostly?

I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop, R&B/Soul, Baseline, Dubstep and Grime and use inspiration from the UK and USA.

Where would you like to see yourself 5 years from now?

I would like to have gigs, shows and events global with a world tour. Get a lot of airplay on radios, music videos on MTV etc.

What have you been most proud of in your career so far?

The promotional work with trickster, my manager and the quality of my latest album, Shout out to skrilla who did the artwork.

If you could pick one producer to work with in the world who would it be and why?

Dr.Dre, his beats are world class and he is a perfectionist like me.

What’s your opinion on the current state of the charts?

Too much pop music and dance which is too commercial and artists not doing what their best at.

How do you view Hip-Hop right about now?

It’s not really pushing it as much as it used to be back in the day, it’s been all mainstreamed and commercialised, not like the old school hip-hop like Ice Cube, NWA, Jadakiss, Styles.P and LL Cool J Etc.

Would you like to see yourself in the top ten?

Yeah of course I’ve always been inspired to be successful and make a chart topping hit and have belief in my own ability.

What is your opinion on the current UK music scene?

It’s getting more commercial, I mean grime is pushing through, Dubstep is doing it too I hope a lot more UK artists breakthrough doing what they enjoy doing.

What’s next for you as an artist?

Definitely to get a UK tour going and then promote myself globally, making the music videos, getting the girls in the videos and living the luxury life like the second mixtape.

Okay before you go please tell us how we can get your music and how people can get in touch with you.

Logic - Gaberlunzie: The Ancient One

Got a big new FREE release here from a UK rapper called LOGIC. Logic has done things in the past with Lowkey and has a real meaning to his raps. Definatly someone to take note of:

LOGIC ‘Gaberlunzie: The Ancient One'

Labelled as a 'rapper' by society, Logic is an artist that’s main aim is to promote a positive message through his music. Born and raised in Brixton, South London, UK he grew up in a poverty driven environment. He is affiliated with the infamous PDC but his solo career really began when he performed at the well-respected record shop 'Deal Real Records' which used to be located in Carnaby Street. This is where he first performed to a crowd and the response he received was so good it gave him the confidence to continue on his path. Since then he has supported the likes of KRS-ONE, Immortal Technique and Saigon to name a few. As Logic continued to write new tracks and perform he joined forces with well known lyricist and recording artist Lowkey and together formed a duo called 'New World Order'.

This project had a strong concept with the whole idea being based around the feeling of us as a nation and planet need to realise the powers that be and have a plan. Logic is also the general in the 'Peoples Army', a movement of like-minded people making quality lyrical Hip-Hop. Now in 2010, Logic unleashes his latest project 'Gaberlunzie: The Ancient One’ which is absolutely FREE! That’s right people; here is a collection of superb music that actually makes you feel proud to be British!!

Its Been A While

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all of that. I aint blogged in a while cos i been enjoying the festive period. Then i got struck down with the flu (dont think it was the swine). Anyway im back now and i got bare things to talk about. so many that ill probably end up forgetting a lot of it and blog hardly anything. anyway here goes:

Wiley - Take That

Wiley released his last single of 09 'Take That' on the 29th of December hoping to land the first number 1 of 2010. I bought it. Unfortunatly for Wiley he only managed to land a number 22 spot. Hopefully this will keep climbing and we can get the Godfather of Grime back in the top 10.

OGz - Oh Geezus It's Xmas (Free Christmas Mixtape)

OGz dropped a free download on us over xmas. this was a little present for grime fans. The mixtape is well worth a download, particulaly for the 'Hot Ones' remix by Royal T.

DOWNLOAD HERE

Logan - Cut!

Bad news for grime. The Logan Sama show has been cut to only an hour and now goes out at midnight on tuesday (tuesday morning/monday night). Im not sure why its been cut tho. It aint cos of listener numbers surely cos Logan always boasts about how many listeners he has and about how well the show is doing. this is a blow for grime in General cos this is the only 100% legal grime show and its now been chopped in half. Please feel free to write to kiss and complain. also there is a facebook group you can join HERE

Wiley V Trim

The king of beef is back. this time he sent a little track aiming at big H and Trim and Trim responded. To be fair this is all a bit silly as neither has any real need for it but its always worth a listen.

The first vid is my personal favourite

Free Dogzilla Download

Download this cos its heavy. Dogzilla was supposed to dropping a full length with the same title as this however time contraints and other things ment it couldnt be done. Instead he blessed us with a free promotional thing. Im glad he did too. Mirror Man is the stand out track for me. DOWNLOAD MIXTAPE HERE

New JME Video

JME is class. I got a lot of time for him. Listen to the bars in this tune. JME is an inspiration.

Grimedaily TV

This is gonna be a massive look for the scene. Its gonna be launched on Jan 11th on Flava on SKY. I aint got sky so gonna have to try find another way to watch it.

Im sure i got more to blog so keep ya eye on the site.
